Veterinary Laser Therapy for Dogs and Cats

What is Veterinary Laser Therapy?

Veterinary laser therapy is a pure and powerful healing aspect of pure light energy.

Laser therapy stimulates and improves healing for many conditions like:

  • Open wounds
  • Ulcers
  • Tendon injuries
  • Ligament injuries
  • Inflammation
  • Muscle pain.

Laser treatments don’t require anesthesia, are painless, and cost significantly less than surgery.

The MLS Class IV Cold Laser

The laser we use is the Portable MLS Laser. The MLS laser is a class IV “cold” laser. It has a peak power of 25 watts.

Cold lasers, also called therapy lasers, are different than surgical lasers. Surgical lasers cut through tissue. Cold lasers emit energy to promote healing and alleviate pain.

Our MLS laser is different than other commercial lasers because it provides dual emissions.

In other words, it offers two different types of emissions at the same time:

  • Continuous
  • Pulsated.

Each type of emission helps our patients in different ways.

Continuous Emission

The main benefits of continuous emission are powerful anti-inflammatory effects.

Continuous emission also helps reduce edema and has secondary analgesic effects.

Pulsated Emission

Pulsated emission provides powerful analgesic relief.

In addition, the MLS laser offers some anti-inflammatory effects.

The MLS Laser is the first laser on the market laser to use both emissions at the same time.

Emission Options

Options are unlimited because we can change the:

  • Emission rhythm
  • Maximum coordination
  • Intervals of intensity.

In other words, we can fine-tune the laser treatment for your pet’s particular needs.

What Does Veterinary Laser Therapy Help?

Veterinary laser therapy helps with many common pet problems!

These are some of the most common issues a laser can treat:

  • Pain relief
  • Post-surgery pain relief and healing
  • Degenerative disc and joint disease
  • Arthritis
  • Muscle or bone trauma
  • Inflammatory conditions
  • Topical wounds and ulcers.

The above is just a small list of conditions we treat with laser therapy. There are many more!
