Radiology

rounded_corners_rad2High quality radiographs are a vital step in ensuring an accurate diagnosis. Our radiographs are done on-site and results are available immediately. Radiography, or X-rays, help our veterinarians evaluate your pet’s musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

Ultrasonography

Ultrasonography is a non-evasive technique used to obtain a three-dimensional image by using sound waves. Using this technology, we can visualize the heart, liver, spleen, kidneys, stomach, intestines, pancreas, adrenal glands and bladder.

rounded_corners_ultrasoundOften when diseases of the liver or kidney are suspected, the ultrasound can give us more detailed information on the extent of the suspicious area in question. We can also use the ultrasound machine to help guide our biopsy needles into the exact suspicious area of the organ. This allows for a more accurate, thorough diagnosis. We highly recommend an ultrasound on all of our cardiac patients.

Ultrasound is also helpful with pregnancy exams, tendon evaluation, fluid collection and biopsies.
